There is part of me that dreads hearing more. Our hearts go out no matter who it is, but I do not want to hear a name I know.

From goldrunner's post it would imply a fall. Just a guess. Like tank says, I don't necessarily want to hear more details either.

Sad to hear in any case.

Unbelievable story goldrunner. Condolences to the family of the rider. I've ridden from my garage up itt and past holy jim quite a few times. There is a forest service station a few miles away from me, plus there is a firestation even closer. I can't believe they didn't have someone come from one of the stations up itt... what a crappy prolonged ordeal to have to experience.

Died having fun, could be worse. It's always worse for those left behind.

Heart disease is a silent killer. Sorry to hear it. And folks, see your doctor at least once a year (over 32-35).

Check your cholesterol, your blood pressure, eat right, eat greens.

Don't be like me. I'm 43, I paid the man at the gate, but I don't wanna go on the ride :( Take care of yourselves.
