not to mention, it makes cool noises over rocks and jumps and stuff... pshh, pshh, pshh.
i like the noise of a winning shock :)

My bike rides fine with the air shock, mucyh better than my coil if i recall correctly.
i like my setup, the only thing i might change is dropping about 5PSI in my rear shock, i ahvent bottomed out yet or used all the travel...
THanks again for that pic you got of me, its pretty sick...
but i must be smooth and quick... i would have got 4th in sport. :D

You were on the wrong coil with your old shock and if your using all 8+ inches of your travel in Fontana.. Your WAAAYYYY to soft man

No, not really. the coil and air pressure are all about sa. Using all your travel is about the compression and rebound setting's. YOu want to be using your travel, if not, then you should just have a smaller bike anyways.

By all means, chane your compression settings for different trails. If your in northstar, stiffen it up, if your in fontana, soften in up, but not so stiff you are riding a rigid, and not so soft your bouncing like you have no shock at all

what he said. leave it at the pressure it's at. also, as was mentioned, your old shock was sprung for ME, so of course it was gonna suck for you

He was oversprung is what i meant. His old coild was about 100lbs too heavy for his weight.. And i personally have not felt an air shock as nice feeling as a coil. But it is all personal preference

Oh yeah, I would say he was probably min 100 lbs over on his old spring. Dont blow out the DHX and Roco airs though, they actually feel pretty good. they dont ramp up lik eyou see on alot of air shocks, and they are actually pretty plush.

Thats because DHX lack mid stroke, its the number one complaint on the shock is blows through travel and wallows mid way. Its been an issue on alot of different leverage designs on suspension and part of the reason air has not been accepted as well as it should be. Ive been running air (marzocchi roco wc air) over a year now and love it, Chris Canfield will tell you its like cheating by how well the bike tracks on a race course as well as LAnce will vouge for that.

Good pics guys dirt looks nice and tacky.

Dirty nice shot, looks like it was a good run for you!:bang:

Does any one have any good photos of 664Z?

It was my first race, crashed twice, chain got locked up in the guide, came in 2nd to last and had an awesome time.

My buddies convinced me to come out, gave me a bike to ride and I think I'm hooked. Will definitely be racing again...

Yeah total crack. Don't think I'll be able to make it out for the Nationals, but I'll definitely be hitting up a few of the CalState races.

Thanks for looking for photos. :)
