I have ridden the Luge many many times and have never gone down.......until yesterday. Trying to make it down in 3:30 can have its consequences. I guess I have 8 lives left

Man, it's dry and slippery all over. Glad you're ok. Give it another go next week, nice and sticky.

That's crazy! I haven't been on that trail yet, it looks intimidating.

That was close, good job NOT going over the side. You must have been pedaling that section to get the pedal down to that rock. Guess more bottom bracket height (or shorter cranks) is not always a bad idea...

almost same place as the other dude. Uncanny, that is what I said last time. It does not look like much of a rock. I probably would have used it for a jump. You seem to have carried more speed than the other guy in the same section. The front end was popping all over the trail before that turn out, were you springing off the trail rocks? I love popping off the trail rocks, makes my day (actually makes my night).
Looks like you survived an OTB. How is the palm and wrist? Did you hit the front brake real hard right before the OTB?
    OTB is never fun.
    Happy Trails

Good to see you made it out alright. Looks as though your front tire was all over the place originally. One of the most reassuring feelings is, after the fact when everything checks out alright, saying to yourself "that could've gone a whole lot worse."

I started to pedal out of the turn and clipped the rock. Lesson learned.

Gotta always depend on a little bit of luck :)

Did a slow, social ride - Whiting (through Bonsai/Edison)/Old Camp/Luge

No injuries but a small scrape on the knee and a weird bruise on my upper left arm. No front brakes. Clipped the rock, went wobbly, and just couldn't recover. Luckily I wasn't clipped in or else I might have gone over with the bike.

Front was fine. It's the camera angle that makes it look like it's all over the place, although, the fork was a tad bit stiffer than I preferred.

    Glad your ok.
maybe beating 3:30 ain't in the cards.

I'll have to look out for "the rock" while I'm there. Actually, I think The Rock has done some cheesy movies.....they bombed too...

Thanks for the video. Glad you are ok. Hate when some one says, "You're lucky," or "you will be fine," which is failure to acknowledge your accident, or on a really bad day--it means you are hopelessly fuc+ed :(
