This vid brings back a few memories. Take a few XC riders on hard tails with long travel forks (4" max) and some on fully ridged bikes, then tell them the first to the bottom wins.

Let's see. Spandex, Day-Glo, ridged XC bikes, and crashing....

    Good stuff.

Ahhh, yes.....the old days of 20" bars, 130-140mm stems and bar ends. Not to mention the center pull brakes and seats a mile high.

Yep, had a mountain one and a road one. Very noisy, in a howling/hollow kida way. Fairly decent wheel, but I was just testing them and never had a lot of time on either one to beat them up....

And talk about beginnings: I raced the Mammoth mtn downhill Kamikaze back in 1987!! NO suspension at 50 mph! Yee Haaa!

I rode the kamikaze without suspension in 1990 and again with minimal suspension in 1991-92 (60mm of dubious travel). Ah the good old days when you thought your fillings were going to rattle out before th bolts on your bike did. Some of those OTB's could have been me.

They probably would have complained because you can't get the seat high enough for them

Wow! awesome find... I'm sure the super high seat heights didn't help with the carnage.
