Well it's either that or the egregious, self-promotion, look at me threads.

Ha!! Nice effort.. you can go off and make the world a better place, I will stick with lobbing out the "egregious self promoting look at me threads" as those are the ones I kinda enjoy seeing myself

Both those cars are crap. I'll take a Landcruiser or a FJ Cruiser over a Land Rover anyday.

I debated on whether to let it die on the vine or be hijacked by bmw vs. range rover drivers, but couldn't.

I know it's hard to embrace critical thinking and read and or listen to something you don't like or agree with -- it's downright unamerican to do so. But to make a comment about bashing and say "I'll post what i like because I like it" is borderline hypocritical.

Now the real purpose of my post and comment is based on several points:

    1. It's a post about Chris Horner, who is a tough old bastard that can still kill it after 40. I like guys that can still ride bikes up a hill and I like Chris's very no-nonsense attitude.

    2. I have been very vocal on this site about cyclists safety on the road and am always furious when I read anything about a cyclist getting hit by a car or killed. Whether it's a pro like Burry Stander, or some guy that's a busboy riding home at night after putting in an honest days labor. I live in Newport and you pretty much take your life in your hands riding on the road around here.

    3. In the 25 years of riding in the OC, I've been hit, from behind, 3 times and cut off hundreds of times. You develop a Spidee-sense after awhile; however, it doesn't always work. The 3rd time was a Range Rover here in Newport Coast. It was a hit-and-run and it fractured my pelvis. So if I want to bash Range Rover drivers, I believe I have that right.

So, like clockwork, I had to explain a post, made in-jest (as most are around here), with an article about kind of a cool guy that was hit on the road.

Newport dwellers are the same even when they venture away from their city boundary. C'mon, I'm just trying to be funny.

I didn't and don't disagree with your point about the idiot behind the wheel nor cyclist safety by any means. Just was pointing out I disagreed with isolation of SoCal as a haven for self importance. It's everywhere. But still glad to hear that posts about my 10 yr old whom I'm proud of are considered egregious look at me threads.

I guess I am OK now that I sold mine? I am very curious about which other adjectives you had planned on using prior to your decision to keep them "clean"?
