Pain Freak - Thanks for the history on the Homer/Turner connection, because there have already been a few references to that which flew right over my head. My association with the tag runs deep, not to mention it's part of my actual name, so I'll just borrow it for a while.

:welcome:, I know a grip of fun spots to practice BMX skills around
Tustin. This weekend is busy but next is relatively open.

There's this older gal... probably in her late 50's... that I run into once in a while up at Sycamore Canyon-Riverside. She's pretty darn fast through the trails and she climbs with no problem. Pretty cool! How about those older folks that compete in the Iron Man. They are between 55 and 65. Thats frickin' awesome. :bang:

You will never truly relive your youth until you get back on a BMX bike again...

I'm 37, and I get my A$$ handed to me on a regular basis by guys in their 40's.

Thanks for the offer, Disco. Considering I have absolutely no BMX skills, a local place to practice would be cool. My schedule is dictated by my family, but next chance I get, I'll PM you for a possible gathering. Again, much appreciated!

    Howdy, Homer!

I'm 40 as well, just getting started, but I feel like I have a lot more than 10-12 years left!

    Welcome from Ladera Ranch!

You're not too far from me. Maybe one of these days we can meet up for a ride because I'm getting bored with the bozos I usually ride with.

    Welcome from Pasadena!

Where I usually ride (Brown Mtn. / El Prieto) I often see this old Japanese guy on an ancient nishiki climbing the fire road up to the saddle. Turns out this guy is in his mid 80's and rides up to Pasadena from Alhambra then 4 miles up the mountain and then back again. No shocks, no riding gear, no clue that he's incredible. Hell at 40 you're on the younger end of the age spectrum here. I'm 50 btw...

    Ride On!
