Poll: 30 day moratorium on Fullerton Loop postings

Back on topic, like steppie and others who post RRs about other places, I posted RRs to try to get members on here stoked about riding other places, but it doesn't seem to get the appreciation it takes to stop mid ride, snap the pictures and then come here and post an RR. Those who post RRs with pics know it can be very time consuming which is why I don't post as many RRs as I have in the past.

With that said, I agree with Timmy and some others that there has been way too many post about the Loop from RR's to trail condition questions, but if those are the only rides to report, so be it.

This is the main reason that I don't typically bother with ride reports. I don't have internet access at home or a smart phone.....so when I'm on the internet my time is pretty valuable/limited. I can't see spending all the time to organize photos/write something up if it doesn't interest people.

I didn't realize that mtb was all about community an getting more people on to the trails? Can I not just enjoy it myself. Do i have to set examples?

 

I think trail condition threads about the Loop are worthwhile, as they could prevent a few injuries.

The Loop and Turnbull are my default rides...the ones that maintain my fitness base so I'm ready for a "real" ride when I have enough time. If there's something going on (trail section closed, angry resident digging "bomb craters") I would like to know about it before I roll out.

 

Nothing wrong with one enjoying ones self! Some don't need a sense of community, most do. I love showing people places new to them...and that is what I will be doing again this weekend. I have rode this remote trails numerous times alone and like it when people catch the MTBing high alpine bug...then I have folks to defray the costs of renting cabins and splitting gas costs on road trips. Works for me I really don't like sitting around a camp fire alone.

I like that too but I also like solitude, being at one with nature. Serenity, challenging myself. If I want traffic or waitin in line i get on the 405 and the DMV respectively.

 

We need to put the loop sticky in the roadie hangout.

 

This is my 1st time posting and Yes I am sick of it. Fullerton Loop is for _______. Fill in the blank. Sorry I shouldn't have said that..... I guess if you have a 1973 huffy from Walmart its a perfect place. Just like Peters Canyon. Except there you have to dodge idiots.... OOPs that is probably non PC as well. I will just go back to lurking and not posting.
