Rain on my day off

 

My own daily error of cereal to milk ratio - why do I ALWAYS end up with way more milk in the bowl than necessary. Yet every day I fill it up just the same. Somebody smack me silly. Never mind, I'm already there....

 

Yea this is a peeve of mine up here in the santa monica mountains too - guys tearing down the fireroad barely in control (and they are busy fireroads with hikers, dog walkers etc) - meanwhile not going down all the great singletrack that's a few feet away. WTH? I call 'em Fireroad Bombers and they never slow down or say hi. And they SKIIIIIIIIID all over the place.

 

current peeve: getting old.

partied with my wife, her cousin and the cousin's husband on sat night. they're all mid 20s. I'm over 30. i can't "hang" anymore. doh!

I hear you there brutha... I drank and stayed up way late both Fri and Sat this weekend (totally out of character for me). And I am HURTING still today.

I didn't feel my 30's and much as turning 40. Freaking brutal. Three beers and I can feel it for three days!

 

aint that the truth? i'm still "fuzzy". I'm sure i missed entire conversations yesterday at Andy's tustin Brew festivities.

having to vacuum the house for several hours yesterday didnt help the headache. yes, earplugs were required.

....this might lead to a "you know you're old when..." thread.:-k

None that I would care to share since these stories would probably make me the crowning piss on king of STR. :lol:

Cubicle Rubernecking

Haha here's a RIDICULOUS one...

For some reason, I can NOT stand when people rubberneck past my cubicle! They walk by and STARE inside my cubicle. Haha, I might be a little paranoid since I'm on STR but STILL! My irritation even seems ridiculous to me, although it still bugs me...

My current pet peeve is me. I'm really starting to piss me off.


I know what needs to get done and instead of doing it, I let it slide.

One day, I'm going to punch me in the face....but I need a nap now so maybe later.

 

Clutter, I hate it. I think its the Marine Corps fault for doing this to me.I get annoyed if a glass in the cup board is not in its place.

 

Insurance agents that, no matter what it is, have to have everything they request on a same-day basis and will call 20 million times if not received.

It's like... earth to Mr. Agent, I have 150 other agents that need shit too. Take a number.

One of my currents is....when I'm making a right turn and the yield people making a left onto the same street, turn with me....maybe I want the lane all the way over there!!!! (yes I know I am to turn into the right lane...but it freaks you out to be flanked by some moron who turned with you) Or people who see me wanting to turn left on a yield signal and stop to try to let me GO first before they make their right. Go back to the DMV and read the books people!!!

Yeh the carpool family...they should rethink the carpool idea. It's always someone who should NEVER be in the fast lane that ends up over there trying to get in (and of course the break is like 3 miles away) and they're doing 55 in the fast lane waiting to get over there. Rule of thumb...master your own lane before you sample the other ones. Just because Aunt Bunny is in there with you doesn't mean you HAVE to carpool it.

I also hate crosswalks. I don't deserve the angry mad dogging because they have to take the bus. I'm also not a crossing guard, my sympathy goes out the window for the family of 15 that can't walk one block up to use a legit crosswalk and thinks we should have to stop at every corner. :wave:
