My B3'r won't be riding this week - since he was a mid-to-back of the pack finisher, don't think that will help much

And how's the yelli holding up? Just ordered mine last week!!! passed on the purple, settled for the 'boring' black.

 

The yelli is awesome to ride. 2 more races and she will have put-up with my bad riding technique for the whole OTH series! Congrats on yours!

 

I'm in Ridgecrest right now, just got done chasing an offroad race from Vegas to south of Reno. Sitting in a dumpy hotel to break up the drive home. After Tuesdays race I headed up to Vegas Wednesday morning to shoot in 105 heat all day and to do it all again today, fun stuff lol. Here are some photos from the race I just shot, I'll let you guys know when my photos from Tuesday are up. Maybe tonight if I don't sleep.

ok, i'm finally jumping in here. a bit late, i know! i just wanted to say thanks to all the racers who said hi/cheered me on as they passed me! i hadn't raced in about 8-9 yrs & as most ppl know- tink doesn't have a go-fast button! needless to say, i was suffering! hated the course (flat to hella-effing steep), but the vibe was INCREDIBLE!!! i won't be back out to race, but i may come out for a beer & to cheer everyone on! :beer:

 

Showed up at last weeks over the hump to cheer some people on and figured it would be a good time to dust off the dslr and takes some pics. I've never been to an OTH so I wasn't sure what too expect. Overall it was good times and highly recommended if you have never been to one. Here's some of the pics I took. Watching the kids go down that little steep hill was very cool! Down to the Final 2. Points battles and the momentum of the season have been ramping up attendance; I heard a rumor Dino was ambassadoring some 1st time racer incentives to come play at the lake tonight. Dino?

Next week's finale & awards ceremony for the series winners will be off the hook. So even if it's just for the bleacher seats, and a cold one next to Irvine Lake, looking forward to seeing everyone. (Now I just have to figure out what to do on Tuesday nights)

Kinda bummed that I will miss the last one; going on vaca with the family.
But I will be there tonight! Hoping to score some points on my last effort (2 for 10 on that so far)

Anyone else get poison oak last week? I've got a decent amount on my arm and leg. It might have come from somewhere else, but I think I got it at OTH. Maybe that mud section?

 

Who was the guy, I think it was #456 who cursed me out and wanted to fight me? Let me know if you have any comments before or after the race. If not, just stay away from me!

 

Send an email to John or Matt or talk to them at the race tonight. They don't take too kindly to that kind of behavior.

456, now you posted a photo, I also remember him almost get into with someone during the race as well a few weeks back, he races in S3

 

I think that is Steven Jackson. Boy! Training on his loop has turned him into a machine!
