Important! If you think you may have suffered a concussion please have someone wake you up every two hours to be safe. I've had a couple of them in the past and the Doctors always stress this to be safe. You may not think this is important, but I would err on the side of caution.
just a few scrapes. haven't inspected my bike yet... i'll update tomorrow if any damage to the minxy! just realized i don't even know which bike i was on! i'll have to check & report back...
Wow hon, it sounds like your brain got a little scrambled by some serious physics. I hope that you recover quickly, both physically and mentally. While I must say that this statement isn't exactly the most uplifting one in the world, I suppose you do make a good point. Who knows, she could have easily ended up like good ol' Phineas here: Amazingly, he lived for twelve years after receiving this injury. sff
i'm awake. i got about 4 hrs sleep. i'm nauseous & headachey. and sore! wtf was i thinking??? damn sauce! everytime i ride tech w/her i get in trouble! haha. i should KNOW better than to try anything she tries!! i don't have skills! (just assuming i followed her off the huck, but i really don't remember)
Sauce has the pics... I was there. Tink flew off the drop to no where at the bottom of T&A. Her form was good until she landed at went OTB. Had to untangle her and her bike. She didn't know where she was, but we managed to ride back to the cars. No LOC or anything but it sure rang her 'bell'. Sauce said it was my fault... I keep riding with people and they keep ending up in the hospital... BTW tink - you were on your kona minxy.
Scott, Buddy you seem to have the worst luck. I bet your getting pretty good a Field First Aid of head injuries. I will still ride with you I am glad you and Sauce were with Tink to make sure she got out ok!
yeah, found it in the car. i thought i was on the ventana b/c that's what i had packed for chiquito. must've swapped it out for the tech ride... btw, did i clean steps????
If you had a concussion, you shouldn't be riding for a while. At least until ALL signs of the concussion have gone--the mental fog, the headaches, the nausea. This was per TWO docs that I went to see (one a neuro, both cyclists, so they understood the importance of riding to me). IF you do push it and ride, you can prolong your symptoms/problems and if you reinjure yourself, it could be worse. Tink, heal up and be patient with yourself! We'll have to do lunch (I'll drive), at least you'll get out of the house that way
So Silverspot...when she actually hit the ground was the sound more of a Thud or did she actually go TINK!
pics so sauce just emailed me the pics. looks all wrong & the only thing bloodhead & i can figure is that i must've landed in one of the ruts...??? sauce, silverspot? wanna offer up any more info? i seemed to be fine immediately after the crash...
Thump. It is cool you got pics now you have some thing to remember the crash. How often does that happen?
