Retro rocket didn't try to kill me (as I feared after my stint of cheating on him with Demo bikes). Women sport is the BOMB. You ladies are awesome! Quite dusty on that first lap.
I loved the part where I was riding along and someone comes to pass and says: " is that Retro?" LOL! Thanks Deadwood for the love:) And a BIG thanks to 1x1 Clyde and The Path booth for fixing my cranky crank just prior to the race. Loved hearing 1x1 Clyde yelling "RETRO!!" as I rode by starting lap 3. LOL!
The third lap, as in the past, is always my favorite. Practically alone on the course, one can really enjoy the surroundings. Those of you only doing 2 laps are missing out!
Thanks everyone for a great season. I'm definitely hooked! Can't ride next week, so today was a great way to finish :)

Another fun race in the books! Not sure what I'm going to do with my Tuesday nights after next week....

Nice to meet you Aviatrix and I hope everyone had a safe race. Seemed to be quite a few crashes tonight, hopefully everyone is ok!

It was great seeing you all out there again tonight!! Thank you Thomas and Dino for the cheers!! They helped fend off thoughts of DNFing tonight. I knew I over-did it on the bike this last week, so it's totally my fault. But I told myself I wasn't going to quit no matter what. Then I got stung in my bicep by a bee in lap 3, which made climbing out of the saddle annoying. But I accomplished the goal of finishing, and I'm happy about that.

Great job out there everyone!! 1 more week to go.

Not sure what class it was, but when the SS group was heading back to the start, there was a pileup in the class coming the other way near the head of the class...heard a lot of what sounded like parts breaking and swearing...looked like one of the B-classes that got bunched up near the front...we shouted out to the rest of the group (almost 100 yards back to the tail) that there were riders down ahead.

Hope nobody got hurt in that, but seems like every week I hear a siren sometime during the race.

Be safe, and if you're nervous about someone overtaking you...don't be. Ride the safe line. The faster rider has a responsibility to overtake only when its safe to do so and you yield the right of way...but do not put yourself in an unsafe position to do so. Its not that technical out there, and there's plenty of room to pass.

It seems to be that each week they are coming up with a better race course. With only one week to go I'm going to miss the OTH. Guess it is time to get on the cycle cross bike for the Tuesday night training ride in la mirada.

Thomas thanks for starting the thread. I have some free pics as always with a few of one of our favorite racers. The full set will be loaded by the morning. I will post a link to that - Enjoy!

Tough race last night...really liked the course though. Hope nobody got hurt in the accident people are talking about. It was cool to see Jeremiah from Fullerton Bikes stepping up and racing in the Expert class since he has 1st place in our Super Sport class clinched. Fast single speeders last night. I usually come in with the top single speeder and my time was a minute back last night.

I crashed in that exact spot a few weeks ago.

I posted last nite from my BB - guess it didn't take.

I had a good time last nite and liked the changeup on the course. Preriding would have helped me a little bit as I was surprised by a few things on the first lap.

Finished 49th in B3 - so I got some real points - yeah!

I've done all 11 and will miss the last one as my wife feels we need a break from the heat, so we'll be on vacation in Phoenix 8-[

Thanks to all the racers, fans, family, photogs, shops, promoters and everyone else for making this a fun series.

Good luck to everyone next week.

Looks like my wife will get me back on Tuesday nites; though I may be gone on Wednesdays practicing CX.

Oh, I think the crash mentioned was in B3 - I didn't see it as I was about 100 yards back in the train.
I saw only one guy down when I went by - and I think he ended up passing me later, but not positive about that.
