    2 weeks in a row
    2 DFL!
2 Different classes (SS and S3)
I think I have a lock on DFL in the 2 classes! LOL

I've been thinking that I haven't been warmed up when the races start...so I decided to ride my road bike to the races (16 miles). I felt great after it was all done, I'm just ef'n slow.
I would like to thank Laurence for bringing the motivation out to the track! (see TWC's pic above...nuff said!)

Great to see you all out there tonight. Dino with the clubbing music..... I had to endure Usher's "Ya! Ya!" which got stuck in my head during lap 2. But your dancing always makes up for it!\\:D/\\:D/ Thanks Thomas and Melody for your cheers. Always love 'em.

Dropped my chain in the 2nd half of Lap 1, and I actually contemplated DNFing. Fortunately, McGong was kind enough to rush over with a tool so I could adjust the EBB and fix it. Thank you so much:clap:!!! Then started the painful process of trying to catch up to the guys in my class. After pushing hard Sunday and pushing hard tonight, my body is officially toast.

The best part of the race (for me) has to be hanging out with all of you afterwards. I look forward to Tuesdays because of that.:)

Okay, I was dreading tonight because I was thowing myself to the wolves...racing SS. I felt I needed to at least once since i'm technically sponsoring the class. I know what I faced, but I just kept praying, "Lord, give me strength". In all honestly, it wasn't all that bad. Sure, I wasn't 1st, but I wasn't DFL (F=freakin' ). 1:14 was my time. I feel good about it. Here are a few highlights of my night:

    1) Finishing the 3 laps on my SS
    2) Not coming in last
    3) having two of the fastest ladies on the course yell "Go Bryan"...as they PASS me (Amy and Kimmie)
    4) having an S4 guy pass me on the last stretch of the 3rd lap saying "you single speed guys are studs" (I was later to pass him on my final kick)

I really did enjoy racing SS. It allowed me to pedal my own race without the huge groups to maneuver around. Yes, Sport folks were passing me, and the Expert and Pros were lapping me at the 3rd. But I loved it. From here unitl the end of the season, it's SS for me!

Thanks Dino and Tom for the encouragement!

Thanks again Dino, another great night of racing! Fun times as always.

I ride with Carl, and we were both laughing (over a cold one of course) after the race how we both had good races going, and both had mechanicals.
Carl and I both race S3, and he was right behind me when his crank fell off. Then, entering the singletrack on the last lap I broke my chain. Tried repairing it to where I could nurse it home, but wasn't happening. Ended up walking to the finish. Funny how stuff like this happens.

Temps were nice by the time we started racing, and the dirt was really good. Did any of you catch that killer sunset?

The heat killed me again tonight. I ran thru both bottles entering my 3rd lap, next week im racing with a small camelbak. all in all a good race, would have gaped to 4th place but an untimely crash didn't help. Whatever thats racing. Glad to see everyone had a good time.

Another big thanks to Dino. I was one of the EBB failures. Dino ran over and gave me a hand on a quick adjustment. It made it to the last lap before acting up again. Will have to taka a look at it tomorrow. Plate 646 if anyone has pics.

Here are some photos from today, been away for a while with the break and missing a few events. I'll be at the next 3 then missing the last one (probably be racing). Enjoy! Also not sure when I'll have photos up, probably Thursday or Friday, tomorrow is my son's 2nd bday.
