Bring as much water as you can carry, always better to have more water than not enough. If you don't need it, chances are someone else might.

 

Grasshoppers...

They (the weather peeps) are forecasting temps in the low 90's (in the afternoon) at Angelus Oaks for tomorrow's ride. So I would suggest bringing some thermo tabs or their equivent... and plenty of wa wa... I think we might need it. Should be a fun time.

Remember, if you run out of water and are dying, we will take your bike, clothing, shoes and helmet and sell them to pay for after-ride liquid refreshments. Come prepared. Don't show up with a flat and whine. Bring your A game ... you WILL have a good time. This is not a hammer fest... but neither is this a beginner's ride.

Is this an up and back, a loop or a shuttle run?
My wife may miss the switchback clinic due to the heat leaving me free to break in the new steed.

We're going to be doing this as a shuttle parking at Jenks Lake and going down the drainage back out to 38 and onto the main trail back to the county store. Hopefully, see you there.

 

This is a shuttle run. We will meet at Angeles Oaks post office and shuttle up to Jenks lake. The first part of this ride will feel like a decent, but there is climbing, just not as hard as the up and back.

PS: The nice thing about this ride is that we will be up in altitude, but the sooner we get on the trail the better!

 

Anyone looking for a ride from South OC? I plan on hitting the 55 to the 91.
EDIT: If I drive the roadster, there's no AC but the wind.
