Robbie is my fav. Can't wait to see him in the Tour. And I wouldn't mind him spanking me a little too... Ooops, did I just say that out loud? #-o

    Roadies love Coke

    Perfect! Roadie gossip never ends.
Pro Cycling is all about being pumped up on EPO, Testosterone, Blood Doping, or anything on the long list of different amphetamines. A little cocaine on the weekend fits right in with the lifestyle. Boonen can get caught getting high time and time again, Belgium will forgive him and laugh it off (and so will I).

If Levi were to get caught with the Bolivian March Powder, I’d probably respect him more. What kind of cyclist is he?

Boonen killed it in Paris-Roubaix this year. It’ll take more than some recreational drug use to call him a loser.

    Cycling is drugs.

(Oh, and Cavendish is just a little more arrogant than McEwen. Cavendish made fun of Italian sprinters well before the Giro, then he hammered all over them. Nice!)

?????? Maybe I missed a day but what? I'll smoke a bowl at the summit but then... I ain't no racer boy. Coke on a major roadie is simply bad form.

About Boonen: Funny (well, curious...), but the "party" drugs will definitely be looked at differently, and excused by many, compared to the "unfair advantage" drugs. And I'm not taking a position on that because I might have to "reflect" too hard.

About that thread on drugs: I don't know how I missed that one. Wow. There is some serious honesty going on in there. I won't open it back up now, and add my experiences or thoughts, but thanks and deep appreciation to those who told their stories.

Unfortunately he's kind of on his own for the Tour. Silence-Lotto is working for Cadel; no help for Robbie in the sprints.

(At least, that is what I read :?:)

That's why I want Boonen there. Cav and Boonen will be worrying about each other, meanwhile McEwen will be keeping his nose out of the wind by grabbing one of their wheels and pop out out of nowhere for the win.

I've got it all figured out.

I always like the sprint finishes (the rest of the stage is fairly boring, though).

I know it may not be popular from reading this thread, but I enjoy watching Cavendish. He just takes off and no one can keep up.

I like McEwen and Boonen as well, though.

    And let's not forget THOR!!

Ah, le tour...the only thing I miss about not having cable. Versus network streaming video last year was kind of weak, IMO.

Bummer. I always like watching Boonen. But I agree...

From TDF Race Director Christian Prudhomme: "Tom Boonen is a big champion but a big champion must also be exemplary. The integrity of the Tour, and of the teams participating in the Tour, could be harmed."

I don't know what to think but I am bitterly disappointed in Boonen and Prudhomme.
What a waste and what a loss. This makes me pretty sad believe it or not!! I mean, not ruin my day sad but sad that another one bites the dust.
I can see how racers feel pressure to dope to keep up with racers that dope to win. Or dope to just hang on and finish to keep their jobs but to take a drug with all the testing they do,out of competition and drop in surprise dope testing and risk everything is insane. He must have a problem with it. :?:

He's a party boy. Sucks for him, his team, and his fans. I think it'll make the sprint finishes slightly less interesting.

Anyone know if Bettini will be at the Tour? I'm sure his main focus this year is the World's/Olympics, no? He'll want his gold and rainbow stripes for another couple years

Also, anyone happen to know if Barloworld got/will be getting an invite to the Tour this July?

If not, you know what that means? Not one jersey holder from last year will be racing.

I'll be rooting for them for a few stages, but they don't have any GC contenders that I know of.

Looking forward to Soler climbing like a monkey again, though. Hopefully his wrist is healed!

After reading an article in Mens Journal (some gift subscription), Lemond is putting his money on Hincapie.....after reading further....Lemond is sort of a nut!

This years tour probably wont disappoint again....or will it! :?:
