"Abhemet" inspired me to post a ride, something I haven't done for a long time, and I'm pretty stoked about it. (Thought I would give the "official" thing a shot this time) :)

Let's do Santiago Oaks Saturday the 15th, and kinda have a meet and greet! It'll be super mellow, for those that have not done the trail it's about 6 miles, but has some fun stunts and beautiful scenery. This is open to riders of all levels, and riders on all types of bikes.

We will meet at the Albertson's parking lot at the corner of Jamboree and Chapman/ Santiago at 9:30 a.m. (to support the slacker's lifestyle ;)) With the ride and hangout's included I would count on it being done around 11:30.

Please PM me if you have any questions!

    RSVP here.

Fo sho - I didn't mean to imply that you shouldn't do the ride. Just wanted to point out that there was something else going on there that day.

oh snap, I thought you were talking about trail work. You know, to fix the damage that was done last Wed by that lil excavator. Was real bummed to see what they did with it. Booooooooo They did place a new rock garden right where the trail spits to the right though. I don't think that was their intent but hey, I was rolling.

For some reason I still like the place. Wish I didn't have to work on Saturday.

I have never rode that it sounds familar. is there map or something on geoladders or that somebody has recorded on a gps. I will need to look on a map to see exactly how far away it is if I do go I will bring somebody. Is the route in cleveland National forest by San juan trail or something in that Vincenty . Not to sound like I don't have friends to ride with I do ride with people and have good times but would like to go to other places and meet other people share my trails I ride. Like what was said in the post life happens I.E. kids baseball, retreats, Life, honey do's. I have had attimes 25 people come with me on rides. But you know you have your core group that is always there.

    is this the place http://www.geoladders.com/show_route.php?route=1588

The poker ride should be done by 930 or at least out of the way.
I should have all the time in the world to ride that day as I plan on taking it off of work. Pre-ride hang-over beers at 9:15 and a san juan shuttle post ride?-t

You don't have to be a SHARE member to do the Poker Ride, so why not come by, ride, have a couple of beers and maybe walk away with this:

won't be able to come my friend got the that day off and he said if he's taking time he wants all day ride so we thought we would go to Hurkey creek and try the 30 mile route from geoladders. I will try to come out sometime. I post my first ride report the rides we did at Vail Lake today. We had 10 plus people show up. Also it was my maiden ride for my new bike I got friday( Giant Talon 29er 2 2010) It was like almost like riding my FS 26" i like so far.

    Hey Alex,

Thanks for the invite to Vail Lake today and thanks for taking it slow for me.

I apologize for a leaving in such a haste but I drove myself to the ER immediately after and found I had an allergic reaction to something (unknown) that caused my tonsils to swell up and almost block my trach!

I was discharged 3-4 hours later and made it home ok.

    Thanks again.

Hopefully I'll join you guys for another ride soon!:beer:
