Wow!!!! Ron Artest made such a foolish shot with 50 some seconds left AND THEN!! He got a lucky bounce off of Kobe's miss but HE MADE THE SHOT! (hey, doesn't el immigrante know this is the OFFICIAL Laker thread?) :)

Sure, I'm no Lakers fan. But, I *am* a fan of good basketball. Hell of a game tonight. My opinion of Artest is, and will always be, conflicted. I have to give him credit; that was some amazing clock & court awareness.

I felt like tonight's game was the first time that the Suns even made it close without playing their absolute best.

It looks like the bandwagon will be driving around town tomorrow with their garbage window flags. I was surprised the Suns got back in the game. When Richardson's Hail Mary 3 was answered and the game was tied I knew the Lakers would win in dramatic fashion. The story was already etched in stone. I thought it was going to be the Rapist not Ron-Ron. The Suns had no business hanging around in the 4th quarter. I felt bad for Alvin Gentry as the guy was throwing up in a trash can during the game from food poisoning.
    In Geoff Petrie we trust.

Fantastic game! This is EXACTLY playoff basketball is all about. I am obviously disapointed The Lakers won, but it was entertaining to watch non the less.

This thread is resembling this cartoon. As much as I love the Lakers, there's more to life. Go ride your damn bike, take a road trip with friends, go eat some good food and maybe get laid (not necessarily in that order).

We got yo see both the downside and the upside of Ron "Effing" Artest (a name he calls himself) within the last minute of that game. First, he spaced out and launched an ill advised, awkward looking 3 pointer (when he was 1 for 8 in the game for FG's) with almost a full 24 seconds on the clock and a 3 point lead. I wanted to reach through the screen and choke him as I was hollering "WTF?"

Then he turns around and out of sheer instinct, grabs KB's airball and goes off the glass as he's falling away from the basket.

In both instances, he's just being who he is. A street baller through and through.

That is also the second time this post season that KB has launched a potential buzzer beating game winner, but left enough time for the rebound to be put back. . . . and it's worked out for us both times. Many would have not been smart enough to leave enough time on the clock to do that.

What a game! What a game! ARTEST! 3 Point Killer! Lakers and Celtics again. Rajon Rondo scares me.
