I'm not even a basketball fan, but none-the-less, to all the Lakers haters out there, one word: scoreboard.

I'm neither a Lakers fan nor a Celtics fan (Sacto Kings, baby! Go, KonaDawg!). However, I think the Lakers simply cannot beat the Celtics with the way Boston is playing now. Boston just has too many options. Rondo is playing 10x better than he did last time.

On a different note, how the hell were the Lakers so damn befuddled by Phoenix's zone defense? Breaking a zone set-up is something every JV basketball player learns at 15. Inexcusable. They're better than that (and, yes it pains me to say that as a Kings fan).

Oh, dear lord, no!!! I'm a little more evolved and civilized then the average Raider fan. That's not saying much but it is saying something.

I think I'll jump in this wagon. History has shown Boston owns the Lakers in the finals but I would love to see those 2 go at it in the finals. Of course I'll will be rooting for the Lakers but I'm just calling it like I see it. Boston is healthy and out to prove it. (Maybe a bit tired though?)

I'm one of those fans that root for both. No way could I drop the Kings but the Ducks are just so close to home. I've been to way more Duck games for the same reason as Shu (not lately though, damn it!) So, I grew to like them as well. But that Duck call, yeah, that was lame.

I passionately HATE The Lakers, but I am still not convinced that any team including The Boston Celtics can beat them in a seven game series. Obviously as others have mentioned Andrew Bynum is the x-factor. If he is at least 80% healthy, The Lakers are just to much to deal with in a long playoff series.

2 observations from reading this thread:

    1) Dirtmistress has clearly never heard Chick Hearn, serious shame.

    2) What's with Konas and Sacto? Can't decide which is a poor reflection on which ;)

    oh and...

    3) Kobe still blows goats

The Lakers will get by the Suns, but I can’t see them beating the Celtics. The Celtics are a match up nightmare for the Lakers. The Lakers have no depth up front with an injured Bynum. With a healthy Bynum they have a chance. But w/o a healthy Bynum; Odom and Gasol will get pounded and will wear down. Also, Fisher has no hope in staying in front of Rondo. I’m a Lakers fan, but I don’t see it happening this year.
