    Hi Deezee,

I read your comment, and I work at CHUMBA. Don't mean to come across the wrong way, but reading a comment like that didn't exactly make me feel good even though I know you were probably joking.

I thought I'd take the time to tell you a little bit about our company if I could. CHUMBA riders and bikes won the 2004 and 2002 NORBA National Championships. We've sponsored legendary riders that include Pistol Pete (most wins of any BMX racer in history); Duncan Riffle (NORBA National Champion); Lisa Sher (NORBA National Champion); as well as renown freeriders like Shaums March and Lars Tribus. We've also received international acclaim from mountain bike magazines worldwide including Dirt Magazine in the UK (CHUMBA F5 said to be "one of the top ten bikes of all time"), Velo Vert in France (shootout w/ Ellsworth Epiphany) and Mountain Bike Action in the US (check out the review on the XCL on our website).

So you're probably asking why haven't I ever heard of CHUMBA? CHUMBA mostly catered towards professional racers, and made primarily custom race bikes for the last ten years. We've only recently begin larger production runs (which are still very small compared even to the boutique manufacturers) and marketing more outside of the race scene.

I hope you will take the time to research our company and learn about our bikes - we definitely aren't a big box bike company.

    Thanks

If you read all of my posts I thought Evil C was :drunk:
thinking that Giant was not a big box company. Then he hurt my feelings;)

By reading the posts on this board the folks that own your bikes seem to really like them.:bang: I then did in fact research you company but currenly Chumba does not offer any products that interest me.

Good luck in your future success!:)

    Hey Deezee,

Hahah ... thanks for the kind words. We have some new products coming out for 2008 and if you ever come across a bike you want to demo, give me a holler. :)

If Chumba makes a 29er, I think DeeZee would be a lot more interested in your product line.

That is why I had no idea who they were. #-o For the last three + years I have only been riding on big girl hoops.

Sounds like they have a nice product in a niche market :)

Man I now feel tiny and below everyone because I only ride a boxed Specialized stumpy and yes it has gears and sports 26 inch wheels. Oh well. Wow you guys are like the South Orange County twentysomethings guys with their big Chevys and Fords with their 10,000 suspension and 10,000 wheels that will never touch the dirt. Whatever you guys do don't sag your pants and wear your ball caps tilted and to the side. Peace!!! ;)

Nope, not confused. The Giant, being a lesser bike, had less sophiscated tastes, and choose to feast on Yetis.

The Chumba on the other hand, prefers smaller, less gamey flesh like Turners.
