Put a straight edge on the front ring that goes all the way to the back and get the line line perfect. The only other thing maybe that you are just running the chain to slack.

    Thx Dean,
Using the strtaight edge method I moved the cog about 1/8" outwards, I believe that I now I have close to perfect chain line.
    Does 1/8" makes a big difference ?

Fixed my broken PC-1 chain, tighten the EBB tension bolt really good and took it for a 1-hr spin at my local loop.
(Palo Comado - Sheep Corral - Cheseboro)
All worked great, no creaking, no slipping, didn't lose the chain even once.:)

I took it pretty easy on the climbs, so I will not hurt my knees or pop out a vein...
To my big surprise, looking at Strava, I did the most difficult climb only about 1 minute slower than my best time on my geared carbon race bike...
That means that in a couple of rides I will beat it - really amazing.
Using currently 32x22 and will switch to 20t once I feel that my knees are up to it.

Don't let the secret out...SSing is much easier that most think. The ones that think it is hard are the ones that never tried it. I come home less tired on the same loop on my SS than I do on mr geared bikes....unless it just some god awful 12 mile climb like up the Santiago Peak.

Good glad you are starting to work the kinks out. On some rides a brake out my 18 cog, especially when I am riding in Prescott and it is so fast and fun.

Thanks for all your great advices !
What is your take on a rigid Carbon Fork ?

I really covet the Tang Niner RDO Tapered/15mm QR Fork.
It will look so cool with my Black/Tang Frame.
Currently running the RS SID RLT 29 100mm.

I use a carbon On-One fork and it has been on there for 4 years. Had a steel fork and it was very harsh carbon much better and added benefit off being lighter. Talked about getting a custom titanium fork was told the carbon was safer be people that know more about bikes than I.

Get the rdo fork, I got my fork from the path along with a 2012 one9. Almost went with a tapered/open dropout niner fork....i am really glad I went with the rdo....so light, so stiff....just amazing....

Get the rdo and do not look back....

Never rode a rigid CF fork.
My main concern is losing control when hiting rocks/ruts at speedy D/H
Is that a valid concern or not ?

Well, it is a rigid fork...it is no substitute for a suspension fork. If you aren't used to it, you might feel like you just wasted $500....lol. Wide riser bars, foam grips and high volume tires help.

But, the rdo fork is among the lightest forks, with amazing torsional rigidity, as good compliance with all size bumps and it is also stiff under braking, no shudder. Looks great on the new niners too...

It is a concern and don't ride a fully rigid bike like a suspension bike. You pick your lines and slow it down when you have to. You make a mistake with a rigid fork and you go down fast you pay for your mistakes.
