I wouldnt worry about it Rodger pointed out both ways to our group and he was right it took less energy to push the bike up rattlesnake than ride up the other trail. I went back and f2.8 showed me the other way.He tried his best to catch on with the lead group.

understood. roger did an awesome job leading us.

i just find it very hard to host a ride at a place that i've never been too. i can't even tell people what to expect from the ride if they had questions. if nobody steps up to host i'll do it, but i'll need some folks to volunteer for lead and sweep jobs. i just had to put it out there. if i do host, i'll post it as a social ride with many breaks because i don't even know if it's newb friendly (some on here say it isn't).

One idea would be to start on 7th street, when reaching the peak we could break off into two groups; those that would like to solely do the 7th street loop and those that would like to do a figure out down friends (or something) back up the fire-road and down 7th street. Although I am not sure many people would be willing to drive and only do a four mile loop, but it is quite fun and still has a lot of climbing.

i think that's the date everybody is currently looking at.

jess - i think the 4 miles would be way too short for most people, but i'm lazy and may do the 4 :D

    If it's on the 28th, I can't make it :(

The second route posted by joytron shows the 7th Ave Loop and Cow Trail. Cow Trail is fun going down but a b#$@* to climb out of.

My suggestion is to start on at the trailhead on Beverly since the group will have more options. That way, you can climb to the tower (and head back if you choose), OR do the 7th Ave Loop & A-Side Loop, OR do the Rattlesnake trail back to the start of the trailhead, OR do the Cow Trail Loop, OR do all of the above.

Paging Dino Drown! Where are the WLC rides?

This ROUTE shows all of the above starting from 7th Ave
This ROUTE shows all of the above starting from Beverly
