New Troy Lee A1 helmets are in at Fullerton Bicycles

Fullerton Bikes just got one of sweetest helmets in made by our friends at Troy Lee
This is the newest addition to our growing line of bicycle specific helmets, the A1.:clap:

With the freeride, downhill and BMX helmet market cornered, Troy Lee Designs decided it was time to venture into new territory. Three years of research and design later, the team has developed a top of the line helmet for the XC/Enduro, Trail, and All Mountain rider.

We only got a few in and I'm sure they will go fast!

Whaaaatttt? You're not stoked on a glittered out helmet? Tld needs to bedazzle the visor then I'd get one.

 

What is the asking price?? And what other colors are there??

 

Sorry but they remind me of the Power Rangers (maybe that is what they are going for?)

 

I got one of the first black/grey ones from the tld retail store in laguna last week. I too wish a stealth black one is available (to match my d2, haha), and Ill bet it will be in the future. but I crashed the day before and boned my old helmet so the timing was right. I really like the helmet-fits me perfectly, lighter and better-vented than my old helmet, with probably about as much protection. The helmet Ive been using for years was a pro-tec cyphon, i like the helmets like these that sit lower on the head and have more protection in the back down low. I sure dont like the yellow one!

 

The yellow one has a straight up lowrider paintjob, all its missing is the gold nameplate sticking up on the back of it

I think I saw a matte black somewhere in internet, looks nice and clean.
I just got a flux last week, love it.

 

I have never seen so much web distaste for a color way in all my life!

But for you gold haters, those will be gone fast, they were a very limited edition launch color, as we wanted to launch the helmet with something flashy.


Expect to see half a dozen or so color ways and style before the years over, we plan on refreshing colors quicker than most brands. I am sure you will find a color to match your style.

At any rate, I have about 65 helmets out right now to different media people, and athletes, I have never seen a product so well received. Try one on for yourself, everyone is tripping out how well it fits. And as Ian Collins (Vitalmtb) can attest to, the helmet works, on our media day, he went forehead first into a rock slab in laguna-no concussion and helmet was in tact!

my brother tried on both colors today at his shop and he said they were ultimately comfy so despite the colors they seem to be a good fit and he also said good quality product too.

Tried A1 at TLD Laguna. Love the RedBull color scheme version. It's comfy and light but $169 is way too expensive for me. I'm spotting POC Trabec MIPS that on sale for $105 now.

I'll take the gold version, I'm totally dig the flashy metal flake. That is true TLD design.

 

$160-$180 is steep for something I replace every year or two or first bad crash. Dean

 

Dean, I think your head is worth AT LEAST that much.

 

I agree this helmet is the best fitting helmet I have ever had. I went in to buy a POC and so glad they had one of each of the A1's. The POC was horrid. Temple crusher cheap tension system, and minimal vents. The A1 was insane, fit was like a glove and it's BALLIN with the OG TLD gold flake. Get one and don't worry about the price, it's your HEAD.

 

I would like to try one but know one in town carries TLD and Like to try them on when I buy, so I bought a new Kali Amara instead. It fit alot better than my old Giro Athalon. I think the price is a bit high also.

 

I have the Gold A1 coming tomorrow. Can't wait! Thanks JB and Troy Lee!
