Hello All! I am a recent transplant from Chicago and fairly new to moutain biking, this is my second summer riding but it seems like you can ride year round here! Looking forward to meeting some like-minded people and learning some of the "local" trails. I've signed up for the Newbie Ride this saturday, is Peters Canyon hard/technical? I am currently riding a Cannondale Scapel, really like the way it handled the midwest trails, I hope it can handle the trails here. By chance are there any others from the midwest? I miss the snow already j/k!
Welcome aboard. Where have you ridden so far? I live in So OC. If you're ever in the area, hit me up.
One's thing's for sure - you'll love the weather here. And yes we ride all year long. I think you'll enjoy Peters. :welcome:
:welcome:Welcome to the group. If you would like some snow, head up to Big Bear during the winter. You can ride with studded tires and try not to freeze to death while playing....
:welcome:We are going to be at the newbie ride also. If you see us say Hi:wave:, you can't miss us we will have the BIG RIG:bang:
Whats up Darnell welcome to the site just watch out for Dino he will eat you alive. Where do you ride? Have you done Aliso yet there is something there for everybody.
I was born in Indiana so technically I am from the midwest but only lived there for 6 months or so. I was stationed in Great Lakes (aka Great Mistakes) for the first few months of my time in the Navy. You might miss the snow but I bet you don't miss the wind! Anyways, welcome aboard. Lots of good people here.
Cleveland here, I don't miss the snow very much but there are a lot of things I do miss. You really can't beat the weather here though so enjoy.
Welcome Minneapolis here! See you at the Newbie ride tomorrow. We did miss the snow, so we bought a cabin in Big Bear and use it often..It's nice you only have to drive in snow and ice when you want to.
I am from Chicago as well but been out here most of my life. I was born in Elgin and much of my family still lives in the Chicago area. See you tomorrow and no Peters is not very hard or technical.
Thank You to all of you who said hi. I am a little worried about this Dino character I have see his postings on this site. Also BIG UPS to all the Mid-Westerners out there I thought I would be alone here. Ill see you all on the ride at Peters canyon.
Especially considering most of Mo-Town moved to Mexico. What's their claim to fame now? Slim Shady? 8-Mile Hwy? Crack?
