Just thought I would say hi, looking for group rides with novice, leisurely riding. Hopefully I will find a couple soon in my area of San Bernardino. Tried Hilda Crook but failed to make the whole thing. Mostly been riding the flat Santa Ana River Path, have not conquered hill climbs and fairly out of shape. Dieing to try out my latest rebuild 08 Kona Dawgma.

    Welcome

If you haven't yet, you can ride the Mount Rubidoux from the Santa Ana bike path. Is a gentle paved climb with cool views of Downtown from the top. And of course, since you're in the area, Sycamore is a must do!

I ride SART often, SB to Riverside area.
A lot of the times I do it for a lunch hour ride, but not all the way Riverside, I'm not that fast...
After work, I'm down for more mileage.
Hulda Crooks after work is possible also.
    Let's Ride!

Hello & Welcome from a brother Jeeper/Mtn Rider in Temecula. Try the Santa Rosa Plateau out here it is great for us out of shape guys, very mild climbs and great scenery and fun trails . Let me know if you want to meet up there.

I also would like to ride out your way some this summer.
Sounds to me like we are in the same "fairly out of shape" boat.
    :welcome:

Do you do your lunch ride in a mountainbike around 2:30 pm?
I do my commute around that time and I always seem to see the same people...

Cool, currently I work swingshift and need to have ride done by 1 pm to make work, anything between 9 am and 1 pm is good. Might take that sycamore canyon ride on wednesday 9 am, just remember I won't be able to keep up on hills. I was riding my mountain bike on SART path randomly, usually start at waterman and end at rubideaux mountain to make a 20 mile roundtrip. I have never rode up Rubideaux mountain but have walked it many times. I really want to find that Jedi area of Hulda creek, just can't make the climb yet.
And yes, I have a modified Jeep and would like to meet up in temecula sometime, thanks for the offer.
