After exhaustive photo analysis, authorities have determined that the object was a "FoShizzle."

No word yet on whether anyone cares.

I would love to call BS on this as it seems pretty likely...if it weren't for the fact that my oldest boy used to hide like Falcon did when he thought he was in trouble - in the hamper, behind a chair, in a closet, under the coffee table, in a car in the garage, etc. And sometimes he'd pick spots that were such good hiding spots, and then move to another spot in this really mischievous game of hide-and-seek-and-make-your-parents-crazy that would have you at your wits end. and he got really good at that game. really good. and it made me effin crazy. thankfully he's grown out of it. anyway, i'm still on the fence as to how this went down...

I'm still thinking that it was a real accident and not staged. But I'm definitely in the minority. There was a poll on the morning news and roughly 60% of the respondents thought it was staged, 20% thought it was real and 20% didn't know what to think.

I know the kid said that they did it for the publicity or whatever, but kids say the craziest things. I've had some of my students say stuff that sounds completely damning or implicating in instances where I know the truth to be something completely different.

I also know that some people will hide for a long time when they think they will get in trouble. Heck, my wife and her brother did it when they were kids and the parents, police and neighbors looking for them.

I've got some beachfront real estate in Iowa I'd like to sell you.

Forget about propensities of children to hide, etc... All you need to do is watch the father speak for about 10 seconds to know he's full of it, and a terrible actor.
