    None.

Well...mostly none...Except for the issue commonly found on every third nipple eyelet on the rim...but hopefully yours won't have that issue. If your rim has it, it nearly doubles the time, unless you can get it warranteed. The way you can tell, is tha

Can you define locking the tire to the bead? How does the maxxis strip differ from the DT strip? Does it have to do with the bead on the tire "hooking" on the rim bead and or a groove in the rim strip holding the bottom of the tire bead from sliding to the center of the rim?

The Path built my Hope Pro II / DT 5.1 tubeless setup and they have been great, but now that i have tried the mavic tubeless rims I wouldn't consider the 5.1s for any of my future wheel builds. It is a good rim however.

But here is the real question what kind of bike are we talking about and what Mavic rims. I can only find two of them. One is the Ex 823 and the xm 819 The 819s are to small for this type of bike, the 823 are heavy.

well considered that topic over with, walked into the path today to pick up some shifters from donkey and get a few small things.

Forgot the small things and bought a set of 5.1s for a good price.

823 = heavier, true ust, beefier
5.1 = lighter, can be ust with rim strips, slightly cheaper rim that i wont break anyway

Ann's been running the DT Swiss tubeless conversion on her 5.1's for almost 2 years now. No problems with leaks or tire beads. It's been a solid performer and based on my experience, inflating a tire with 5.1 is easier than my 819's because the tire fits much tighter to the rim when using a floor pump. However, getting the tire bead onto the rim is another thing.

So my headset came into today and I just got it pressed in which is good because now I can start bolting up the fork/bars/brakes/shifter but now I can't figure out in what order the headset->upper crown->spacers goes

edit: got it, just had to add a 10mm spacer between the upper crown and cup

still waiting forever for the hubs to come in so I can build the wheels up asap. Still need to hunt down a 36 or 38t 4 x 104 chainring as well.

I can't saw the raw finish either. It's really "raw"

i had this one laying around, but i mean is there any reason not to use one? with the option out there to bolt up to the fork, why not hunt one down eventually?

thanks, i'll bug you about that later :bang:

in all reality those probably won't be run because they'll get too banged up. I'd rather sacrifice and swap over my set of XTs but whatever
