Bring out the tinfoil hats people!!! There will be drone strikes against anyone carrying a gun once the 2nd Amendment is abolished! Why do people live in such a warped reality?

No question that citizens should question the use of drones and defend the second amendment but the argument always spins out of control and leads to extreme scenarios and political views. Also, only fearful Americans with delusional thoughts think this world is a ticking timebomb.

All you need to do is read a newspaper or watch the news to know the world is a ticking timebomb, and no (hu)man can save us. The delusional are the ones who think all is grand.

Drones on suspected American terrorist? Despite what we feel, the Bill of Rights protects them too. If not, where does it end? How far can the goverment reach before our liberties are gone?

the second amendment is there to protect the citizenry from the tyranny of government. not from drones. there were no drones during the foundation of this country. sheesh, i recommend a course on american history, and maybe some basic logic and reasoning to tie it all together

Regardless of who is in the White House, the use of drones is predetermined military strategy.

Just like nuclear weapons, they will be used now while we have the technological advantage, but as the other countries already developing them finalize theirs, restrictive treaties will render them all impotent across the board. With drones being as cheap, deadly, and stealthy as they are, the threat of proliferation becomes a self-solving problem. No one wants them being used in their country, certainly not the US.

The more sophisticated combat robots that are being developed to succeed them certainly significantly elevate the ethics discussion drones have ushered in though.

youre talking from your heart? coz it aint the facts.

    here is the fact.. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/07/u...release-of-drone-memos-to-lawmakers.html?_r=0

before the last four years, this country has never had a policy to kill its own citizens with neither due process nor operational intelligence. now we do. for the mere reason on an immanent threat, look it up, "immanent", not imminent, big diff, for mere association to a threat, your civil rights are gone, and they will bomb your ass.

here, they killed a 16 year old american. it doesnt matter who his father was, he was a us citizen outside the theater of war, and they killed him.

now where is my tinfoil hat. i hear drones cant see people with in foil hats.

No, all I'm talking about is the long-term lifecycle of drone use.

You're talking about a lot of other things I'm not.

point taken. i tip my foil hat to you.

youre talking about the use of drones as equipment, not how drones are being used as policy.
