I'm looking forward to the MC Saturday. I'll be hopping on the 8am "Express Train" again like last year. By 8am it shouldn't be as cold and the group of about 30-40 riders gives everyone a nice push to the first climb.

I am SO up for this next year :D

This year my involvement might extend to running support out of my Jeep, I'm pretty sure I can fit a kegerator in there :)

I'll have on an undershirt and then a jersey. I think I'll put the newspaper on top of the undershirt. I'm thinking New York Times to read at the rest stop. The only reason I'm doing it is because Los Virgenes was so damn cold when I did it 2 years ago. I figure any insulation will help but I don't want to carry lots of clothes.
Bring a skull cap! That's the best insulation!
If it's as windy as it was today..I'm out!!
    If it's raining..I'm out!
    If it's hot...I'm out!
    If it's cold...I'm out!!
    If I wake up...I'm out!!

    Maurice,

We can try to hop on the express train as soon as they catch us, but chances are we'll just wave as they pass by.

I'm taking the early start, at least I'll be able to enjoy a slow warmup, no need to start fast. I'm thinking around 7am. Anyone interested?

Okay I did some digging and found this link, it has last years route. I imgaine it will remain the same except the part where the construction is. Planet ultra has posted on their website they are aware of the constrution, but haven't announce how they'll reroute it, until you sign in Saturday morning. Here's the link it answer your quetions Stacy. It looks like the first water station is about 25 miles in to the ride.

    1) Winds are only 10-15 MPH
    2) On this ride you are going to either be flying downhill, where wind is not an issue, or slowly crawling uphill at 8 MPH, where wind is not an issue.
    3) HTFU :)

    See you on the road!

Good luck to you all. Hope we can all finish. I'd say hi but probably won't know most of you if I do see you. I am small and ride a grey Trek with a triple chain ring. Chances are I'll be wearing a while helmet and pink and black jersey, but a yellow high vis vest may be over it.

I'll probably be wearing my pasadena cyclery jeresy with a bontrager vest if it's cold, and my silver helmet. I'm riding a blue, white, with red striped trek madone. My name is Sean.
