Mauric6943, David Zingery and I will be there. We rode the course over the weekend. It's gonna be tough. I'm praying for cool weather.

    Stacy,

Cool hope to see you out there. I will be wearing my new Team Sho-Air kit if I get it in time and riding a red and white DeSalvo.

yah !!! hope for cool weather , good luck to you all
I am friend with Maurice and Stacy.
I am planning to start riding at 6:30 a.m. and hoping for some drafts to keep warm and save energy for uphill climbs

The VQ is 11+K of climbing but only 56.5 miles. This should be a piece of cake. :) Yeah right.

    Let's see....Last year I got:
    Mullholland (100 miles 11K)
    Heartbreak 100 (100 miles 9K)
    Breathless Agony (114 miles 12K)
Ride around the Bear (104 miles 9k)
And to many training rides to count with lots of climbing so this year I think I'll just read about Brians trials and tribulations.

Good luck, you all and I hope it's cooler then last year.

Last year the temperature was 30 degrees while descending in Malibu Canyon at 0630 and by noon it was over 100.
I will make sure to not reach in the chips bowl without surgical gloves this year, so I don't get yelled at.
It will be so nice to see my friends at PU. :)
It will be a painful day but it's got to be done.

I want to ride this so bad, if I do it, it means I'll also be doing the Kenda cup races too. That would be wicked April for me.

Are you part of Sho-air's crew? Do they have a pasadena one?

I'll be there if it's 72 degrees and pleasant. I've done no training rides so therefore I plan on hanging on Brian and letting him pull me!

You're not the only one. We split the course into two training rides during the weekend on 3/28 and it was TOUGH. how I'm going to manage it all in one day is beyond me.

I'm still considering throwing in XT derailluer on back and upping the cassette to a 32.

I'm doing this thing blind, no preride, I don't even know if it's going to be stupid crazy like the heartbreak 100, which is like climbing to giant mountains.

Does anyone want to meet up with me and the morning? Could head out together. I'm not crazy fast, but I'm planning on pacing for this monster

I will be riding with a compact double and 12-27 cassette. My guess is by the end I will wish I had a triple. I just hope my knees and lower back hold up.

Liz will kill it ,no doubt.

Brian will stop 25 times for something to eat and will be the only person on the ride to gain weight. He will also do the last 20 miles or so with a big ol shiat eating grin on his face and he'll be saying ..."When do we get to the climbs?"

    That made me laugh Mike!

Don't forget I will stop to take a piss every 10 miles or so.
