Watermen appears to be done for now. A friend of mine went there yesterday and was told that the Forest service had informed the lift operators that they could no longer take bikes on the chairlift.

There's very little in the way of illegal trail building in the Gabes. I wonder why?
In the OC it's everywhere not sure about south of there but something seems to be working.

    Convenience.

I think the OC stuff is more accessible than where most of the riding in the Gabes is located.

    Just my $.02.

That was just for this last weekend and until they could met with the Forest Service which was to happen today. Things are still being worked out.

Waterman is awesome. And being there on that chair lift reminded me of riding it when I was 18 in 1977! Of course there was snow at that time!heh-heh I went specifically to see the MTB possibilities, but w/out my bike.

..Rick it was a pleasure to meet last saturday! I hope it comes together for him! He has a passion for people to enjoy that mountain!..(Rick I was the guy with his Family in the Yellow Bronco!)

Also some MTB's need to chill and let Mt. Waterman do what's right!.....I'm just sayin! ...Then when asked we should support them "As Ther Wish".

...oh ya...Whoever you are, quit running down little girls and old ladies and not saying your sorry! ...sheesh!:?:
