Wait, im getting comfused on the meeting place, is Oak Mesa park the school, or is it across from the school? Is A DH bike suitable or should I bring the Specialized?

I've done this trail a few times and with the climbing involved I'd recommend the Specialized . Have fun!! :bang: I miss it every year cause of work.
I pulled this one out of the archives. I was wondering, does this ride still happen every year? I haven't done it for the past few years because every year I've been sick. So far so good this year.
It's still happens. It's a Thanksgiving tradition. I'll be there with Tom the Bomb, Uplander and T2. It's always been kind of a word of mouth kind of thing and some years there's more people than others. Usually we meet at Oak Mesa School at 7am and figure out the shuttle arrangements. Get up to Cow Canyon saddle around 8am to be at the top of Sunset Ridge by 9am. Hope you can make it. The more the merrier.
Last year was coooooold. Snow at the start. Looking forward to it again! I may actually try to ride the whole thing this year but will have to get up real early if I want to do that. Anyone else riding up?
I am in for the upteenth year in a row! Climb give thanks for the life we have , ride with good friends and eat to ride another day. The most fun you can have on a fire road. 17 Miles and about 11 of it down hill. yaaaaaaa. I have not missed one of these since i started riding with Rojomas. 19 years Wowww I have known the Ox that long and not killed him! Freiking a miracle! Lol looking to ride another one with ya Roggie. Chutes was fun sat. Gobble gobble gobble !
If I can stay awake after shopping I will be there. I want to do this as an out an back in the spring.
I guess this didn't happen. I was running late so I went to the saddle. Stayed from750-845 and no one showed.
It happened. You were early. If you would of waited another 15min. There was about 30-40 at the cicle. The Thanksgiving Circle always meets at 9am
Damn that is too bad. I was going by the times posted in the beginning. Is the route self explanitory to do it on my own as a first timer?

Had my knee scoped 2 weeks ago, I will be testing it next week to see if I can make it . It would be a bummer to miss it.
Tested the knee and all good to go. See yal at Oak mesa school at 7, cow cnyn saddle at 8. Top of Sunset Ridge by 9, give thanks and bomb it. Happy Thanksgiving.
