well after a battle with my landscaping chores I Finally found time to build up my new Moto Lite. It sure looks pretty and feels great too. Or at least on the blacktop. I'll be heading out tomorrow morning or afternoon for the maiden voyage.

Now, I have to come clean before TurneRob spills the beans. I had a major problem with the build and had to consult the mechanic. I wanted to route my cables just under the toptube and above the swing link. In order to do so, I had to either bleed my brakes or dismantle the linkage. I opted to dismantle the linkage, after all what could go wrong, seems like an easy task right?

I unscrew everything and route my cables and start to connect the linkage. My very first screw to enter the frame is on the non-drive side seat-stay. Here I did the unthinkable and stripped the threads and the screw snapped at the head with the screw body stuck inside the frame. Shit. I quickly run to home depot and pick up and easy-out. Get home drill my pilot hole and start the easy-out. snap, easy-out gets stuck in the screw, even more curses. I left it for the evening and came back fresh in the morning. Drilled all around the easy out to free it and then drilled out the threads. Slapped a bolt on there and called it good.

Funny thing is, I called Titus about this and asked them what they thought and said to do the same thing. They also said if it breaks they would replace the seat stay under warranty. I thought that was pretty cool.

Ok, you can start the fun making.

Oh, george. How the F do I insert pictures?

Going by memory here, but click the manage attachments button below your text box if you're going to attach an image from your hard drive then browse to find the pic(s), click upload, wait until it uploads, close upload window, click submit.

Sorry to hear about the broken screw. I'm sure if I listened closely I could hear the epithets from my house. Did you cross thread it or just too much torque? You do have a torque wrench don't you?

Can't wait to see the pics.

ps - I'll be riding at Whiting tomorrow 6:30 am if you want to join us.

Craig, come on man. You know 6:30 is too early for me. Especially after I bust out the coronas and crack one over the headtube. Pardy Hardy!

Sweet bike Patrick. But what was wrong with the other one? Just needed an upgrade? Did you have it built for you, to your size, or did you just buy the standard? Either way, nice ride.

I still have the Foes mike. Don't worry. I have yet to determine her fate. Getting the titus built makes me think it may be going to ebay heaven.

As far as what was wrong with it... nothing. It's an awesome bike. I wanted something a little different and a little more versatile.

    Thanks for the praises everyone.
