Topic. Given the rain in SoCal today (Friday), will there be any rideable trails tomorrow? This is my first rainy season mountain biking so I'm not sure what to expect. I really want to ride tomorrow (Ive been thinking about it all week!) but I'm fearing the trail conditions won't allow it. It looks like it will be dry and sunny tomorrow otherwise.

I normally ride in Orange County (Whiting, Santiago Oaks, Maple Springs Road, etc) but sometimes ride in the Santa Monica Mountains.

    Any advice?

This really needs to be a sticky. A search should give lots of info, this ? Always comes up.Blackstar mud becomes very sticky with a good rain and most OC Parks will be closed a couple of days. Check their website and even sign up for their twitter - lots of good trail updates there.

If not too wet, then locally, Holy Jim, Luge, and San Juan Trail are your best bets. Further out, Sycamore in Riverside is ridable even in the rain. Further out, Hurkey Creek if not too wet.

Not only is Sycamore in Riverside usually pretty good after a rain, its probably going to be better because it was starting to get loose. I think there have been some riders running the trails pretty hard lately.
