    RR: Memorial Weekend Cram Session

Justin and I were still packing stuff up when Mark arrived outside on Thursday at around 5. We finished loading up the Tahoe and began the drive out of So Cal toward Primm Valley. We were treated to a gorgeous sunset on the way up.

We checked into Whiskey Pete's at probably 10:30-11, enjoyed some Fat Tire and went to sleep.

Clean bikes in the room (don't worry, that wouldn't last long!)

Too many bags, 3 people, 3 bikes... yup, that elevator was FULL

A little pre-drive urban assault (sorry, Keith, no pool shots!)

Car loaded and ready for Bootleg

    Pit stop

One of my favorite signs ever

We started out Bootleg with a little warm-up huck session at the skills park

    Hittin' it like the boyz

You won't find any organ donors here -

    The steeds in the heat

End of the line for the wheels

FWIW, after the skills park we rode up West Leg to Caldera for a short stint, then took Boy Scout up to where it meets with the lake overlook; rode up to the upper parking lot, then descended Skyline to East Leg.

It was extremely warm out, so we hung out in the shade at the lower lot (it was about 10* cooler under there, and oh so relaxing). Then we hit up more stunts before doing a short loop around the lower lake loops.

Skyline is kinda techy in spots, but was a lot of fun to descend.

Back at the main lot. This was a huck machine in its day

Believe it or not, even though it was mid-90s there were still some nice flowers out

I was diggin the stickers on the bike stands and the electric box. A lot from all over, so it was cool to see.

Me on the triple threat (bridge, roller, teeter totter)

And so we get to Saturday... Time for Gooseberry Mesa. Unfortunately Keithsauce's little Fcus had trouble on the dirt road out there, but we all made it.

Preparation for Thunder Mountain on Sunday a.m.

Saucekeith had a small problem... some Brit hack engineer said to unscrew something near the back brake. Unfortunately it wasn't specified not to unscrew the brake stuff, which made brake fluid leak all over. Brake pads needed to be replaced and the resevoir filled with chain lube since no one had mineral spirits.

I played with photo settings while they worked

A few of us decided to hit up the other side of the highway and ride part of the Cassidy Trail. Rodel and Jason headed back to Vegas for family stuff.

    In closing...

Sunday we all made it to Little Creek for the last group ride of the weekend.

There's always some jack@$$ fixing his bike at the trailhead

    Climbing a steep up

I ride up and Justin goes, "Hey, come here. There are two things I want you to take photos of. One is a broken frame, the other is a big drop." "Whose frame broke?!" "Mine"

"Now I'm gonna hit this drop" I only have it on video...

    The view from Little Creek

"Dude, you should huck off of this"

    Group shot!

    More playground stuff

    "Sarah, here's your new avatar"

After Little Creek a few of us ate pizza in St. George, then Justin, Mark, Keithsauce and I went over to Bootleg to wait out the remaining traffic. I have a few more photos and vids from that, but nothing finished yet.

We were lucky enough to see a kid hitting this big road gap at Bootleg, and I got 2 vids of that also. Crazy. His buddy wouldn't hit it in the wind.

Thanks ALL for a great weekend!! Can't wait to see everyone else's pics. No major injuries, though quite a few mechanicals that will require some replacement parts. I hope everyone made it back safe yesterday.

im speachless! simply amazing photos and ride reports. thanks allison for posting, and that sequence of your hubby hitting that drop was nice, looked like a hairy take off as it appears he is heading down the steep face, then is having to pull up while dropping in.
