That is how things change, someone gets a resentment and goes off and starts a new meeting or in this case a website. We all miss the closeness of the old STR, well it is gone victim of its own success. Choices are try to make it better or go to another site. I wish people would keep the posts down and stay on MTB related topics but that is not going to happen. I have no plans on going anywhere and I am sadden that others have chose to leave. Still the best site to find a ride or get people to join yours.

my first thought was: well, if somebody threatened the mann's, they must have been banned from the site, right. right? but then i remembered--when somebody threatened me a few months ago, i pmed george and...never heard back. and so it goes...

 

hmm, rumor has it mechmann is listed as a member there???? will history repeat:-k

 

Does anyone get any responses from George? You should try and use this : Contact Us instead. Maybe someone other than George can help. It's an email rather than just a PM.

I think the site started going downhill when they created that Roadie Board. Those damn roadies always screw things up for the rest of us.

I'm sick of these people talking about how bad the site is now days. TFB. I still like it and so do a whole lot of other folks. Just look at the post counts a day. There is still a sense of community here that's not at any other website I've found. I think this saying applies here more then anything else:
Love it or leave it. I agree the site has changed but everything does. I still enjoy it and will continue to spend my hour or two a day on it.

I never knew the Manns were threatened. I'm not a big guy nor do I relish fighting like I used to but I''ll stand behind any friend in a heartbeat and will fight till my dying breath to defend them. Justin I'm sure was not afraid of these asshat ethugs and to give in and not be a part of this community would just mean they gave in to the ethugs. I find this hard to believe.

 

yeah...and who cares about this lame warm fuzzy "family" concept people keep speaking of that used to exist...what the heck (cuz i cant say WTF i am sure) is that all about? if people come to STR cuz they need a "family", well...enuff said. Its ALL about being entertained and if that means once in a while one learns about kewl bike stuff then I suppose thats swell too

I agree PF. STR is just fine. Sure there are tons of new people here but that's cool. Some of them are wankers and some of them are really cool. I tend to believe there are more cool people than wankers.
