Last year mechmann set me up with some great trails in our area, since then I cant access these trails on my PM not sure if he's a member anymore?
Unfortunately he is no longer a member. There are still some people that are from that are that may be able to help you with the same list.
Maybe this is a taboo subject but anyone know why he and Alison left? I really enjoyed their input and both were realy great at last years Fontana Winter Series. Through their posts and training I really got motivated. It's shame he left. As far as trails in the area what are you looking for? I live in Wildomar and know of a few rides around here.
I want to see exactly how long it's going to take the peanut gallery, et al to pipe up.... Tick tock...
For the sake of simplicity and in order to avoid spreading rumors and half-truths, it's safe to say that this is indeed somewhat of a "taboo" subject.
No rumors here...some people on STR were giving them a hard time. They decided they'd rather not put up with it. Simple.
yeah...don't plan on those two coming back any time soon. it is unfortunate for those like firemedic85 that those two would respond to with a plethora of information in a heartbeat. some members couldn't simply put a+j's constant input aside and look at their simple and beneficial contributions to the mtb community. firemedic85, maybe we will see ya on the trails...pm for more info.
You can also PM lukeweins. He has all the 411 on the Temecula/Murrieta trails. If I'm not mistaken, he trains with Justin as well. He might be able to get you in contact with him as well. Or at least get you a quick breakdown of the trails down there. EDIT - It looks like Luke already put his offer up a few posts^ - Sorry! Greg
The truth be finally told! Both were abducted by aliens from the planet Zorken. They were bound hand and foot sitting up with their eyes taped open and had to read every STR post backwards from the beginning. This drove them both insane and thus were commited to an institution for the recovering DH mountain bikers ... where they remain to this day... Allison wrote the book on how to get and hold onto "Thanks".... their kind will not be seen again for many years to come. Actually, I, like many others, miss the RRs recording their adventures. Very nice people who are missed by many on this board.
I personally never met mechmann or his wife allison, but we both live in the same city. Last year he hooked me up on some great loops off the 74. Anyhow I really dont frequent this site much but when I did they were always posting some great info and pictures of ride reports. For whatever reason they left I hope there doing well.
I don't know what happened (I must have missed those posts), but I also miss their inputs Hope they come back!
