Friend and I just got back from Marshall. Yeah its rainy out there, but this is one of the trails to ride in the rain. We started out at the top of Stephen's Ranch Road. This is above all the creek crossings and above most of the soft spots. We road the dirt road up to the gate, then took one of the single tracks back down. There were a few soft spots, but its mostly DG so things were solid for 99% of the ride.

We counted 34 toads on the trail, quite the plague. Anyway if you don't mind riding up fireroad and down a double track and don't mind riding just 4 miles per lap, then this might be good choice for the next few days.

BTW Claremont Wilderness Park is closed and well marked from all access points on the Marshall side.

Its nice to be Huck Finn and have a Tom Sawyer with whom to share the adventures.
