I actually have quite a few in my glove compartment from the STR birthday party at Danny K's. I'll bring em but I don't think it'll be enough for the 50+ people we're going to have attending this event.

Dang, we are easily going to have over 100. This is awesome.

Just for the record, is this going to be more newbie friendly than the Daley Ranch ride? Linda was a little frightened after that ride since it was supposed to be a newbie ride but had some rutted chutes in it. I loved it, but it certainly wasn't what she expected.

the first few miles are exactly the pictures that Gene put up. No ruts, no rocks, a couple tricky riverbed crossings for total noobies. Pretty easy stuff for the first few miles. It is mostly a *slight* uphill for those first few miles with a couple climbs. Mostly pretty tacky soft soil though for most of it. Nothing like Daley.

Anyone starting from La Verne Heights Elementary on Baseline and riding up along the channel? Might be a way to spread things out a bit.

No, but I'll ask her if she wants some. She didn't seem too interested last time I asked. I'd buy her a suit of armor if it would make her want to ride more.

How far is the from the trail head or meeting spot? If not too far, I wouldn't mind starting there and thinning things out a bit.

1/2 mile down the hill by my guess from the meeting spot, a little more to the trailhead

Its at Baseline, just a few houses east of Wheeler, so ±3/4 miles should be close.
