Marin AXC B17 SS Budget Build

.8down found this frame on the Adrenaline site. Has anyone had experience w/ this frame? I am planning to do a very tight budget build for people that are thinking about doing a SS bike but dont want to spend the cash.

Anyone familiar with this sucka? I PM'd Neil to get his input. Just thought i would get more.

EDIT: I picked up the frame from Neil today at Adrenaline. Great guy always a joy to talk to and he's like a walking encyclopedia of information. Thanks Neil.

I had that frame for awhile. It's a super stiff frame. Real strong.

That's a Psylo 125mm fork. Definitely don't run anything below 4". As a SS/DJ/Street Monster I think that frame is perfect. Don't think you'll break it unless you go really huge. (hopefully) I used it as an All-Mountain rig so I got the biggest size they had. Watch it though, the headtube was pretty long on mine. So you'll need a fork with at least 8.5-9" of steer tube. Which means the handlebars are pretty high, but that's perfect if you're going to SSpeed it.

The finish is actually pretty nice. Like fake Ti.

    My frame was a Large.

I'm 5' 11.5" with cycling inseam of 33". I ran the bike with a 100mm stem and 2" Azonic Riser bars. I normally ride frames with about 24" effective top tube length.
