Mammoth opening week

Just got back from Tahoe today. We ended up hitting Northstar last Saturday and did a bit of riding ( some trail called "chinese downhill?") during the week. It was pretty fun! I'm glad I decided not to bring the DH bike, the hardtail was more than enough for all the lower trails. It got pretty beat up but nothing thats not fixable with a little TLC. It's worth noting that if you are crazy enough you are actually allowed to hike up and ride back down the upper trails at N*. There is a sign at the gondola pretty much stating that you are on your own, and they won't stop you from going to the top if you want to take the risk.

 

Any word on current conditions/how many trails are open?
