I'm a new rider, just getting into mountain biking. I have what I'm beginning to find out is probably a cheap bike (Trek 4600). I've spent the last few weekends in the San Gabriel mountains off of Hwy 2 riding. Anyone looking for an additional rider, let me know.

Welcome to not only socaltrailriders but more importantly . . . riding! Don't worry about your 4600. I started out on a Trek 3700 :) Just ride the piss out of it and get a better bike when your ready for it.

    Where else do you ride?

Thanks I plan to. I'm open to ride just about anywhere in So. Cal. I like to find new places I've never been.

Sounds good. I think I'll be there. I have a gray full size chevy pickup with the beginners bike in the back.
