Ok so I’m not exactly new on here, but I never really introduced myself so here goes!

Hi, I’m Wilhelmina Seamans. Jason (Chumba) is my husband and favorite riding buddy :)
I started riding last year and I can’t imagine my life without it now.\\:D/ We mostly ride Santiago Oaks (Weekends) and Fully Loop (Thursdays), but some other favorites are Turnbull Canyon, Claremont, and as of last weekend, BIG BEAR!!

I am always down to meet new people to ride with, and so far everyone I’ve met from here (and most riders in general) are great people and I’m looking forward to meeting more of you. Say hi if you see me around – I’m scabby and bruisey and I have tattoos so I’m easy to spot

    Thanks everyone!

Jordans -- sis is doing great, but her arm is oozing and making a squishy sound. It looks like a horror movie! She still had fun though :)

Banana-- yeah he knows, but it's taking him a bit of time to get my special custom EVO built up.

CC-- hi! i remember you... hope to see you on a ride soon!

Oh hi sweetie, what are the chances we'd be on the same thread at the same time? Haha. <3

    And that's a good thing!

I hear ya about squishies having their place. I have squishies in all catagories (5-1/2", 7-3/4", 9-1/2", and soon a 6.6"). And the hardtail SS is the best bike for the Fullerton Loop. It also makes other trails all-new rides. While Mustard at Whiting or Cholla at Aliso may be easy on your gearie, it's an all-new challenge without gears.

As you may have noticed, one of the reasons why I like that bike, is that suddenly there are a ton of jumps on the Fullerton Loop! You dont feel them on the squishy.

Riding a SS has made me a much stronger rider. But they're not for everyone. You have to at least kind of like getting your butt kicked once in a while.

But there is also a little singlespeed secret....don't tell anyone, and if other singlespeeders see this, they may get pissed at me for revealing it: They're easier to ride. Once you get over the initial learning curve, they require much less energy to ride fast. Yes, I can ride the loop faster on my SS than I can on my gearie 5.5, while using less energy. SSers may look hardcore, but we're actually lazy.
