but dont want to pay Park tools 60 bucks for their hex wrench set... Tada!!! Voila!!!! http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=92527
The majority of Park Tools are made in the USA, all of the CRAP at Harbor Freight is made in China. Take your pick.
I'm a huge fan of buying decent tools once, instead of cheap tools over and over again when they break. Craftsman tools have always worked well for me, and are usually cheaper than Park. Lifetime warranty too.
I'm with you on that, but the Craftsman hex wrenches are crap. Just look at them funny and the edges get rounded. ](*,) Lord knows how many times I've had to replace them. To top it off, they won't just replace the 4/5/6mm hex wrenches. They make me bring in the whole set in for replacement.
Im sure there is an in between I have spin Doctors, and they work great, I ve really put some torque on them a few times and no roundness yet. and I think they were 29 bucks...just trying to help but I guess everyone's got an opinion....
yup got that set....had it for about 2 years now the only complaint is that some of them aren't at a 90 deg more like 80 deg:?: but no rounded ones and i use them almost every day.
I have had the same ball end long handle set I got at harbor years ago, only broke the six and the five and a half fell out but still going strong. Spend money to succeed not to impress (Michael Dell).
Harbor Freight=China Freight Everybody I know calls HF, China Freight. Still can find some good stuff in there cheap.
Ive kind of had bad luck with Craftsman stuff, I had a pliers set made by them and every one of the pliers are bent...I never replaced it cuz that's like getting a free meal at a place u did'nt like to begin with...
I have a craftsmen socket set that's working great so far. But generally, it's just not worth it to use cheap hex wrenches. It only takes one stripped bolt head to really ruin your day.
Horrible Freight is great when I need something for one time use, maybe twice but even that's pushing it. Beyond that I'm usually picking up Craftsman or Kobalt.
The true wrenchers here will go to HF for what it is. They know what they are getting and know what to get and what not to get. You guys can't blindly just say Made in China, so I won't get it. There's some things you can get at HF and will work great, and other things you stay the hell away from. For example, jackstands and hydraulic jacks work great from HF. I've used those thousands of times and they've never failed me. However, I would never touch any of their cordless drills. You just gotta understand what's good and whats not. I think those hex wrenches are fine for bikes. However, if you need to put any significant torque on them, they won't necessarily round off on the ends, but the grip will round off inside, and the hex wrench will free spin inside. My rollaround toolchest is packed full. It has a mix of cheap Chinese tools and expensive ass Snap On tools. I just know what I can use and go cheap on.

For hex wrenches, I like Bondhus. I forget where they're made, but it ain't China, and the quality's great.
Anything that they sell at harbor freight tools, come from China. So buy the Park tool and keep the jobs here buddy. Ali
