This is good news! Not that I will or can ride there. It's good news for the MTB community...

I word of caution about Sunrise, it is run and owned by the local Indian Reservation and they have been known in the past to close for no reason. The best bet is to call Catus Bikes before you head up the mountain. It is a long way always from anything.

I've been there in the winter, and thought it would be a nice place to mt. bike-ie. pitch of the slopes. I hear that the surrounding area of Pinetop has good riding also.

Rode the White Mountains about a month ago. And yes the riding is good but to me not good enough to drive that far. Better stuff closer in Sierras, Flagstaff and Brainhead.

I'm off to AZ on Tuesday. Flagstaff first. That's prob the only place that is cool enough to ride right now.

Very nice, Flag is way up there in my favorites. I could spend a week there riding and not get tried of it. The new section of the Arizona Trail is open from Aspen Corner on Snowbowl Road out to Bismark Lake. Couple of rides in Williams are very nice. The Clover Springs, Benham, Bill Williams loop is excellent as is the Sycamore Rim Trail.
