    thanks for coming out bman,good to meet you... La Tuna has a lot of rock falling all over the place and the little sections with the steeps have soem nast nasty ruts that have turned into mini rivers.lots of branches and downed trees. will need to do major trail maintainence soon after it dries...

    have fun dude, be carefull with those new ruts,they are pretty ugly...oh and keep your ears and eyes open for falling debris...yesterday there way like a 1 ton boulder that fell out of no where onto the single track....

    so i finally bought a chainsaw.used for 40 bucks so i can clear that downed tree and upon closer inspection found that the little bubble where you push once or twice before you start it is ripped, is this an expensive fix?On my way back home from picking it up i notice a unicycler on hawthorne blvd....

    i have screwed my self royally planing a ride at gmr on sunday,same day as my weekly la tuna loop....my plan is after GMR DH go climb la tuna never mind cancel that ...thats when the break ins happen....im moving this to monday for my lunch time. just this week. it will be a good 2-3 hour lunch...

    I don't know how organized, but there are a lot of folks that ride La Tuna around that time on Sundays and Saturdays. I'm sure there are some of them from STR.

    Hadn't heard of any recent break-ins, but I would still advise that folks park down by the golf course.

    I also see folks up there at night a couple of times a week from my kitchen - a lot more than I used to.
