So , I just got my Joplin adjustable seat post and then I got my hands on the new Decline and low and behold a full page ad about the KS-i900R is right in front of me. I did a google search but only 2 stores came out and they both are out, so:

    1) Does anybody have one/rode one for feedback?

    2) Does anybody know where to get one at right now or within a reasonable time frame, say a week or so?

What's wrong with the joplin so soon?

Fezzari sells the same post but under its own name in the US. But they have limited range of sizes right now.

    http://www.fezzari.com/categories/view/Seatposts/42

A friend of mine ordered one through Fezzari. I never saw it, but his review was that the seatpost itself was overbuilt and the remote lever was weak and underbuilt. He ended up using the remote off his speedball. He had big problems with this post in that it would not go down when the lever was engaged. After sending it back the same problem developed soon again. But he was able to return it for refund.

I've been watching reviews on various sites. A google search for ks i900 will pull up lots of threads like this one:

    http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=513904

Looks like there are a few other places to get them now but many are also out of stock. I would give fezzari a try they might have their own version in stock if it will fit your bike.

i900 works great. 5" makes it more suitable for taller riders or for DH type of trails. The only bad thing is the remote. It broke on me after 1 ride. I swapped it out for the Joplin one, and that works much better.

never had that problem w/ joplin, and not w/ i900 either. there is no slop w/ i900 like joplin though. but the remote/release to full height works better w/ joplin.

ps remember when we rode together at santiago? i had it on my slopestyle then.

I've also been looking for the i900R. Good reviews where I found them and looks like it fits the bill. The main problem with Joplin (which I have now) is that it's only 3" - good enough for the trails until you get some DJ and man-made stunts action. I followed the Fezzari link and looks like it's only 3".

So that leaves me looking for KS with 125mm and 30.9 diameter. Can anyone please point out the stores that carry them (local or Internet)?

    Thanks!

I just put together my new Foes FXR and put the i900 on it (crotch grabber version). Two rides up at Arrowhead and one today at Marshall...I have no idea how I ever rode without one. Super easy to use and zero slop in the mechanism.

Decline Magazine also had a giveaway of three of those. There was a sliver of notice on one of the ad-littered crap pages. I dunno when they are going to pass them out. I want one!

I got mine following the adjustable seatpost thread on the other site. Some guy had a brand new one and apparently he had bought the wrong size (31.6). $180 to my door in three days. Brand new. The 950 is supposed to be slightly improved and due out soon. That might be why everyone is out of the 900s because they stopped making them in lieu of making the new ones.?

I saw a video with one of the product guys for the i950 - he said that the only difference was the i950 had a different clamping system with no offset for downhill and freeride. But for standard XC, it seemed that the i900 is still the "normal" one. The video is here: http://www.bikeequipmentonline.com/KS-i950/p/BE1517

Email Rick of KS USA Sales at [email protected] to see which store has them. He's located at Foothill Ranch BTW.
