We shuttled Knapps Castle on New Year's Day. For those of you familiar with the trail, it was used to transport firefighting equipment and has been closed up until a few weeks ago. The 1st half of the trail is now smooth double track and very fast. There are a few corners that are still not packed down and are quite loose. Once you hit the singletrack you find that much of the trails had to be recut because of the bulldozing. All in all, it is still a very fun trail. A good one for multiple shuttles and for honing your cornering skills and working on your speed.

Knapps is 1 of the 3 trails we shuttle in the Santa Barbara area. After the fires, Knapps was closed for a while and just recently opened back up. It is off of Hwy 154 (on the way to Firestone). We usually warm up there, or finish there with 2 or 3 runs. This trip we did 2 Tunnel, ate lunch and then did 2 at Knapps.

When you guys are able to come out and play again, we will take you there. :)
