Anyone going to be up that way, have shuttle driver and room for two bikes besides mine.
Want to ride Cannell Trail and more. Let me know.

Might be interested, any idea how much is still covered with snow?
I rode it once last October and ended up hiking through a fair bit of snow for the first half.

    No Snow

I am signed up for Mountain and River Adventures shuttle on Saturday, last I spoke with them they had 12 signed up.
Plan to hit up some other trails on Thursday and Friday, Mill Creek and Just Outstanding are a couple I have heard about.
Never been up there before so just going to wing it.

Is that better than Mill Creek or Just Outstanding?

So did anyone ride the full cannell plunge trail from Sherman Pass?
Thinking about heading up this upcoming weekend if it is clear of snow.

Rode up Cannell from Kernville on the moto 2 weeks ago. Snow patches above Big Meadow turned into deep snow everywhere by Cherry Hill. I'm sure some of it has melted out but I'd plan for lots of on/off HAB from the pass down to Cherry Hill.

We are getting a decent bit of rain right now here in Kernville. That is always good for the trails.

Did anybody drop Cannell this past weekend? Considering camping and riding from nearby Sherman peak this coming weekend and wondering how the melt has progressed?

There is not much snow up to 9000'. You may see a few patches on the North facing slopes up near the peak. I heard the trail is clear of snow.

I rode it on Sunday... there are about a half dozen patches ~12 feet long each that you can push or try to ride through near the top. Otherwise, it was completely beautiful. I might even go again this weekend.

    Cheers.

Rode it yesterday (6/9/14), and the trail is completely clear of any snow.
This was my first attempt at the 'full Cannell loop' - pedaled from the end of the trail up 99 to Sherman Pass Road and all the way up to top of the pass and down Cannell trail - 58.5mi. and 9,000+ft. of climbing at 7.5 hrs of saddle time (9 hours total with breaks). Next time I'll opt for the shuttle :)

Respect. That is a BIG loop, I've never attempted it w/o shuttling.
