    Awesome!

I have room for 2 more people at my camp site, and Rich (sxc70) wanted me to post that there's room for 2 people to ride up in his truck with him. The two offers need not be combined, but could be.

It'd be $14 per person for 2 nights camping. You'd have to work out cost of gas with Rich, if you want to ride up with him.

    (My car is now full.)

    Gonna be an awesome weekend!!!

Thanks for keeping the flame, Pat.

I have a couple other riding mates in the wings for this ride, so I'm sure your site spots won't go unused if nobody here scarfs em.

Booger, what's this fence you speak of? Stay psyched, y'all. We're stoked to pull out some layers!

2 weeks out - really excited about this trip! We still have some room at our campsite, as well as room in Rich's truck for 2 riders. Saves money for everyone - all you have to do is call MRA to book a shuttle spot!

The area is supposed to get some rain next week - WOOT! Also, we should all be prepared for any weather: warm & sunny, cold & sunny, or cold & rainy (even snow at the high elev). You never know...

    Thanks for the tip, wheeler.

Looks like three Flagstaff bros are in for the Plunge and at least a night of camping.

The extra credit ride/peak bag on Cannell from the drop point is a fun way to start, tho it's not pedaling the whole way up. Most of the way there, we dropped our bikes and walked the short distance to the summit. Great views of course.

Prolly not a horrible idea for a person or two to pack a GPS with a CP track on it. The outfitter's map/directions was a little murky as I recall--probably as murky as my memory. We actually pulled out the GPS at one point and backtracked to a mistake. Routefinding's not bad generally, but it's fairly remote.

    We're psyched!

If I can find anyone to ride up with as a day trip and head back same day, then I might be in for this.

Weather in Kernville and surrounding areas looks like it's going to be nice next weekend, but be prepared for the unexpected.

Nope, I've only been camping at Quaking Aspen/Camp Nelson. Never been to Kernville, especially the Cannel Plunge. It's going to be a loooooong day but I am up for the challenge of an epic ride! =) You guys are camping, right? Hopefully, we can bum some campfire with you all. I'll bring some treats!

Hey, camperbros, what's the latest count on campsite occupancies?

My three AZ amigos (Tim S., amigo2 amigo3) and one LA county guy (Jim H.) are on board. Jim wants to know if we need a third site. He's planning on midday Friday arrival and can snatch one if needed.

    TIA for info!
