    What a great ride report!

No 50 or more self promotion posts before the event…..or going into detail about what flavor of jelly you should use on your PB&J sandwich.

What makes a race post like this great is.....

    Not to long….not to short
    Described the event
    Nice Pictures
    Humility of the racer.

The scary thing....... did he even train for this event.:?: Genetic freek!:bang:

I was running the Jones XR with a turbo tube......pinchflat on a fast, rocky downhill.

I suppose I should have stuck with the heavier tubeless wheels:)

    Super Donkey!

Forget RR of the week, you have my vote for rider of the year.

The final ride stats are mind blowing and could have easily been broken down into a 2-3 day stage race.

    Huge respect for you!

that's pretty bad ass brain - nice job.
Thanks for taking the time to stop and snap some pics for those of us that don't put in 100+ mile days on a regular basis! If you're going to do a race like that, might as well be scenic, right?

    right on brian!!

just curious...what were the temps like during the day? also, what did you do for hydration, ie. pack it, filter??

if there are no schedule conflicts next year, maybe you can talk me into to this! however, i am sure i will spend the entire day a bit lonely. :-k

Put it on your calendar.....you should definitely do it!

As for hydration.....I started with 220oz and refilled at the country store at mile 80. I had roughly 180oz in a Wingnut Hyper 3.0 pack and then 2 24oz bottles on the bike.

Donkey, is your name "Brian" or "Brain"? I've seen a few people on this thread refer to you as "Brain" and I'm not sure if that's some nick-name you have for having a high IQ and hence, a reputation for being intelligent aka a brain. Just curious!

Edit: ok, maybe it was a typo people fixed. I noticed most are gone now and say "Brian". Never mind!
