I know of a regular poster that would be banned because of this rule.

The website is great and as for the community my only complaint is that there are too many good riders on here that are making me look bad !!But then again there are 3 yr olds on tricycles that make me look bad some times!!

I've only been here a little over a month, but I've already found this to be one of the best MTB sites I've ever belonged to.

Not a whole lot to fix from my perspective!

Thanks for a great site! :bang:

Great site, good people, even with the amount of growth it has gone through this year, I feel the mods do a great job. George, I love you......I mean, I love STR.

It's amazing how much the site has grown in the last year. IMHO it's handling the growth pretty well so far.

I like the "THANKS" button. Allison pretty much nailed it. It's a good way to show that you found a post informative, helpful or just plain funny.

I love the Home page. It helps keep track of my current posted threads and the calendar at the bottom is nice. My only wish is for the Calendar at the bottom of the Home page to show a few more rides. I don't know if it's possible though. It's not even a complaint or a dislike, just something I'd like to see if possible.

I really like the oppurtunity to donate to support STR. It kind of makes me think I'm doing a little to help.

No real dislikes. I think the whole Steven Jackson bit is a little played out. Most of the newbs don't get it. I have had a couple ask me "what's that guy's problem" and "why don't the moderators control it?" It's not my business to say, so I kept quiet. It is pretty overdone at times and the same jokes for the last couple years are getting pretty old.

    Just one jerk's opinion.

I would like to say again though--thanks for this awesome site George. It has been the vehicle for me to meet and ride with so many awesome people I would have otherwise never had the pleasure to meet.

    This one's for you:beer:

    I 2nd that

I have noticed when trying to go the the past post in a thread, that it will often put me a page or so before the last thread...not sure if it's a firefox thing or a small coding issue.......not big...but you asked.

the random photo gallery (I know you're working on that) could be more random from members' galleries

    that's it.......thnx for everything! :bang:

Lee, the only issue I've had is if I choose not to look at the PM right away... I click "cancel" then read a post, then if I hit BACK, instead of doing a new search and reloading the page it'll pop up. But, if I click cancel, click to read a post, then click "read unread posts" etc. it doesn't pop up again.

BTW, being a photo post whore, I haven't had any issues with the insert image button. I use it ALL the time. ??

I copy and paste a photo address, click on insert image, paste the image. Hit enter. Hit end. Hit enter enter. Done.

I assumed that's what it was set up to do? I personally love that feature.

The links from the homepage (the link from the last poster) actually takes you to your last unread post instead of the absolute last post in the thread. Kind of like taking you where you left off like Traci said. Sometimes this could be the first post. A few little buttons on the forum also link to this. Whenever you see "new-post" in the link - that's what it does.

Thanks for all the great comments and concerns. I'll be sure to think about the s.jackson issue and the other bugs.

If I may say one more thing about the Steven Jackson issue, I think the question has to be, "what does that S. Jackson bit add to the site and the community feel?" Given the great community feel of STR, I can only conclude that S. Jackson detracts from the STR experience.

Personally, I think it is esoteric humor that makes some people feel like outsiders. Not to mention the hostility is often misunderstood as Boats pointed out. Add to the fact that his comments are often lame and not even funny, and I think the fate of S. Jackson should be clear.

I was so excited to discover this site last week! As someone who's new to mtb, and doesn't really know other people who ride, AND is a girl (when I've been out on trails I hardly ever see other girls), it's awesome! Yay for STR!

Personally, I'd rather not see a "No Thanks" Button. I think it promotes negativity (which is refreshingly rare here) which along with being ambiguous about why the "No Thanks" was issued could lead to some regrettable and unfortunate exchanges. JMHO.

The Stephen Jackson "skit" was cool when STR was a baby and everyone knew everyone else, but with riders joining daily, sometimes hourly, I feel he has to go as well.

    IMHO of course.
